Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by the team from Adventure Family Treks and Expedition. After completing airport formalities, you will be transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city. The rest of the day is free for relaxation after your journey. You can take a leisurely stroll around the bustling streets, enjoy local cuisine at nearby restaurants, or simply soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Nepal’s capital. In the evening, a welcome briefing will be organized to go over the tour itinerary, important travel tips, and cultural insights to ensure a smooth journey ahead.
Today, you will explore Kathmandu’s rich cultural and historical heritage. Begin with a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), perched atop a hill with panoramic views of the city. Next, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with palaces, temples, and courtyards showcasing traditional Newari architecture. After lunch, the journey continues to Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site on the banks of the Bagmati River, followed by the serene Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. The day concludes with a traditional Nepali dinner and overnight stay in Kathmandu, offering a perfect mix of culture and spirituality.
Early in the morning, you will board a domestic flight to Nepalgunj, the gateway to western Nepal and Bardia National Park. Upon arrival, your journey continues with a scenic drive through the Terai plains, surrounded by lush forests and local villages, to the entrance of Bardia National Park. On arrival, check into your lodge or eco-resort and enjoy a freshly prepared meal. In the afternoon, you may take a short orientation walk around the lodge area, spotting birds and wildlife. The evening is ideal for relaxing, listening to nature sounds, and preparing for your jungle adventure starting tomorrow.
Spend a full day exploring the pristine wilderness of Bardia National Park, one of Nepal’s largest and least disturbed national parks. The day includes guided jungle safaris on elephant back and by jeep, offering a chance to see elusive wildlife such as Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceros, wild elephants, and a variety of bird species. Your experienced naturalist guide will share insights about the park’s ecosystem and conservation efforts. In the evening, relax at your lodge, share stories around a bonfire, and enjoy traditional Nepali cuisine, immersing yourself in the tranquility of the Terai jungle.
Today is dedicated to a deeper exploration of Bardia National Park. Begin with an early morning birdwatching walk along the riverbanks and grasslands, capturing the sights and sounds of rare and endemic species. Later, embark on a jeep safari to different parts of the park, increasing the chance of spotting tigers, swamp deer, and gharials in the rivers. You can also visit a local Tharu village to experience the unique culture, traditional crafts, and lifestyle of the indigenous people. After breakfast, you will drive back to Nepalgunj for your domestic flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel for rest. The afternoon is free for last-minute shopping, visiting local markets, or exploring hidden gems of the city. You may also choose to enjoy a traditional Nepali spa or cultural performance to round off your journey. Your tour concludes today. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey.
