Our family of four (my husband and me and our two kids in their 20s) trekked to Everest Base Camp in May/June, and we truly could not have asked for a better guide to share this experience with. Tilak was our guide and he was AMAZING and such a huge part of what made this the trip of a lifetime for all of us. From the very beginning, Tilak was the biggest ray of sunshine. Trekking to Everest Base Camp is challenging, and having someone who could keep our spirits high, make us laugh, and somehow keep all four of us smiling and enjoying the journey every single day was priceless. Tilak and his team were incredibly kind, positive, caring, and genuinely just beautiful souls. By the end of the trek, they felt like family. They took care of absolutely everything along the way, from the logistics to our meals and safe drinking water, so we could simply focus on the experience. More importantly, we always felt incredibly safe and well cared for. Tilak watched our pace, made sure we weren’t going too fast, encouraged us when we were exhausted, reminded us to drink water throughout the day and eat enough to fuel ourselves, made sure we were resting and sleeping, and planned the proper acclimatization days. He paid attention to each of us and always seemed to know exactly what we needed. And then there were all the little things. We would be surprised with delicious treats along the trail for little pick-me-ups, he’d teach us about Nepal and the places we were passing through, joke with us, encourage us, sing with us, dance with us, and make sure that even while doing something incredibly challenging, we were HAVING FUN! Tilak didn’t just guide us to Everest Base Camp, he took the entire experience to another level. We laughed so much, learned so much, met wonderful people, and made memories together that our family will talk about forever. When the trek ended, we were genuinely so sad to say goodbye because we had all become so close. If you are lucky enough to make the trek in Nepal, you will be in the very best of hands with Adventure Family Treks and Expedition. We would do this with Tilak and team again in a heartbeat. I Travelled all the way from Canada by myself for the Kailash Yatra, and honestly I was pretty nervous at first. But the second I met Thilak Ji at the airport, all my worries disappeared. He treated me like his own sister from day one, and I never felt alone for a single moment. Thilak Ji is one of the most humble, kind-hearted people you will ever meet. He has done the Kailash journey over 120 times, but he treats every pilgrim with so much patience and respect. He made sure we always had healthy food, checked on us whenever someone felt sick, and gave us practical advice every night so we were ready for the next day's trek.His Sherpa team Deepak Ji, Sameer Ji and Wong Ji are just as amazing. They carried heavy bags, preparing healthy food and helped us up the trails with big smiles, never once showing tired faces no matter how hard the day was. A Truly Blessed Kailash Yatra Experience 🙏🏼❤️ The Kailash Pilgrimage has always been my biggest dream, but I had very little knowledge about how to plan or undertake such a challenging and sacred journey. Through a local agent, we came to know about this agency, and engaging them for our Yatra truly turned out to be a blessing. From the very beginning until the end of our journey, we felt genuinely cared for, supported, and safe. The entire team went above and beyond to make this sacred journey as comfortable and memorable as possible. A special mention must be made of Mr. Thilak, our team leader, who was exceptional throughout the Yatra. His leadership, dedication, patience, and constant attention to every Yatri were truly commendable. He was ably supported by his wonderful team members, Mr. Sameer, Mr. Deepak, and Mr. Wangchu, who were always helpful, caring, and attentive to our needs. The team continuously checked on our well-being, including our oxygen levels, and made sure we were adequately protected from the cold with warm clothing and suitable attire. What impressed us most was their constant effort to ensure that all the Yatris stayed together, remained safe, and were well enough to continue the journey. At every stage, we could feel their genuine concern and commitment towards us. By the grace of Lord Shiva, we were blessed with the opportunity to witness the magnificent faces of Mount Kailash from the South to the East. We also successfully crossed the challenging Dolma La Pass and completed the Yatra with a deep sense of gratitude and fulfilment. Throughout the journey, the team maintained a very high standard of service, care, and professionalism. Their support gave us confidence during some of the most physically and mentally demanding moments of the pilgrimage.
